Six Indonesian golfers will compete at the golf venue in Japan. They will represent the Indonesian Red and White flag at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, scheduled to run from 19 September through 4 October.
Indonesia is deploying a total of 432 athletes to compete across 35 sports at this continental multi-event tournament. Golf is one of the disciplines Indonesia will participate in, fielding a full squad of six golfers consisting of three male and three female athletes.
The men's division is strengthened by Jonathan Wijono, Naraajie Emerald Ramadhan Putra, and amateur golfer Randy Arbenata Mohamad Bintang. Meanwhile, Kristina Natalia Yoko, Holly Victoria Halim, and amateur golfer Elaine Widjaja form Indonesia's women's golf team.

This squad composition brings together professional and amateur golfers within one unified team. For Indonesia, this blend of established experience and youth regeneration forms part of the strategic preparation for the golf competition at the 2026 Asian Games.
However, their preparations will not follow the conventional single-location centralized training camp model. Instead, the Indonesian golf national team is operating a decentralized training program, allowing each athlete to continue their individual training regimes while also competing in official tournaments.
Previously, Indonesian national golf head coach Alga Topan explained this structure was designed to ensure the golfers do not lose their competitive match rhythm. Training sessions remain fully operational, but competitive match experience is also treated as a core part of the build-up process to the Asian Games.
"The national golf training program has been running on a decentralized basis. Each athlete trains and competes according to pre-organised tournament schedules, this arrangement applies equally for professional and amateur athletes," Alga stated to Antara News Agency some time ago.
With this strategy, Asian Games preparations progress along two parallel tracks. On one side, athletes complete targeted training programs to refine their technical abilities. On the other, they receive regular opportunities to test their capabilities in official tournaments before facing competition in Japan.
For a sport such as golf, competitive match experience is a critical preparation component. On-course match conditions, competitive pressure, real-time decision making, and the ability to maintain consistent performance cannot be fully developed through practice sessions alone.
This preparation approach also creates space for every athlete to maintain their own personal playing rhythm. With individually tailored training and competition schedules, peak performance is expected to be preserved right through until match day in Japan.
Alga hopes this combination of structured training and active competition will bring the Indonesian golf squad into full readiness for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. The core target covers not just physical preparedness, but also technical maturity, mental resilience, and international competition experience.
These six athletes now carry Indonesia's golf mission in Japan. Jonathan Wijono, Naraajie Emerald Ramadhan Putra, Randy Arbenata Mohamad Bintang, Kristina Natalia Yoko, Holly Victoria Halim, and Elaine Widjaja will face the tournament challenges on the course, each bringing their own unique competitive background and experience.
The Asian Games will present its own distinct test. Competing against the top golfers from across the entire Asian continent, every single stroke will form part of Indonesia's journey to achieve the best possible result.
