indotravelsport.com - The Central Board of the All Indonesia Badminton Association (PBSI) has carried out restructuring within the mixed doubles sector. Three new pairings are being prepared to develop the optimal competitive formula for upcoming international tournaments, one of which will see Dejan Ferdinansyah partnered with Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu.

This adjustment forms part of PBSI's efforts to establish the most ideal line-up for mixed doubles. Indonesian mixed doubles head coach Nova Widianto confirmed that the team is still conducting a series of trials to secure partnerships with strong on-court chemistry and complementary playing styles.

"At this time we are searching for the best working structure for our mixed doubles division. For this reason, we will be testing multiple pair combinations including Dejan Ferdinansyah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu, Bagas Maulana/Apriyani Rahayu, and M. Nawaf Khoiriyansyah/Indah Cahya Sari Jamil," stated Nova Widianto in an official press release issued in Jakarta.

This pairing represents one of the core changes to the squad.

Dejan previously competed alongside Apriyani Rahayu. He will now begin a new competitive chapter with Felisha, who most recently served as Jafar Hidayatullah's doubles partner.

The Dejan/Felisha duo will not wait long to test their partnership on the international circuit. They are scheduled to make their official debut at the 2026 Denmark Open, running 13-18 October.

This tournament will act as the first benchmark for the pair to measure how well their combined playing style performs against the world's top ranked mixed doubles teams.

Bagas Maulana / Apriyani Rahayu

The next squad change affects Apriyani Rahayu. The Tokyo Olympic gold medalist will now compete in partnership with Bagas Maulana.

Bagas had been paired with Indah Cahya Sari Jamil since August 2026. Following this restructuring, the Bagas & Apriyani combination is one of the new pairs expected to bring fresh competitive potential to Indonesia's mixed doubles programme.

The duo have already made their first joint competitive appearance, competing together at the 2026 Indonesia International Challenge held 25-30 August.

With Apriyani's proven elite international experience and Bagas' distinct playing profile, this new pairing will be one of the most closely watched developments for Indonesian mixed doubles.

M. Nawaf Khoiriyansyah / Indah Cahya Sari Jamil

Indah Cahya Sari Jamil has also been assigned a new partner, and will now compete alongside M. Nawaf Khoiriyansyah.

The Nawaf/Indah duo are scheduled to make their competitive debut at the 2026 Malaysia Super 100 tournament, held 13-18 October.
