Eliano Reijnders Is Wary Of Bali United, As Persib Targets A Win In The Dewata Challenge Series.

Eliano Reijnders has returned to represent Persib Bandung after completing his duty with the Indonesia National Team. He is available for selection when Maung Bandung face Bali United in the 2026 Dewata Challenge Series pre-season tournament, held at Kapten I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar on Tuesday, 18 August 2026.

Eliano only rejoined the Persib squad after representing Indonesia at the 2026 AFF Cup. Despite having relatively limited time to resume training with the club, the former PEC Zwolle player has confirmed his physical condition is sufficiently ready.

For this reason, Eliano is prepared to carry out the coach's decision if he is trusted to take the field against Serdadu Tridatu.

"I am ready to play, same as every other player in this squad. Hopefully we can secure victory in this match," Reijnders stated.

The match against Bali United forms part of Persib's ongoing preparation series ahead of the 2026/2027 season. Alongside running their training camp in Bali, Maung Bandung are using this tournament to test player lineups and various tactical approaches.

In the opening fixture of the Dewata Challenge Series, Persib recorded a convincing 3-0 win over Malaysian club Sabah FC. Mariano Peralta, Luka Menalo and Beckham Putra Nugraha scored the goals in this victory.

This result provides positive momentum for Persib, particularly as the win was achieved while a number of regular players were still unavailable.

A different challenge now awaits. Eliano has noted that Persib must pay special attention to Bali United's new signings, including several players brought in from the Netherlands.

"They have lots of new players, some of whom arrived from the Netherlands. They are a solid team, but we are also a good side," he concluded.

This fixture against Bali United will be Eliano's first opportunity to pick up match minutes for Persib again after his international schedule. His presence on the wing is expected to provide additional options for the coaching staff as they develop the team's playing style.

For Persib, this match is not only about chasing results in the pre-season tournament. This fixture is also part of the club's process to finalise their strongest playing combination before entering the competitive 2026/2027 season.
