Alexander Jeremejeff's goal secured Persija a 1-0 home victory in the opening fixture of the 2026/27 Super League at Segiri Stadium. In another match, Persebaya Surabaya was held to a 1-1 draw by Bhayangkara Presisi Lampung FC at Sumpah Pemuda PKOR Way Halim Stadium, Bandar Lampung.

Persija played aggressively from the first whistle. Shin Tae-yong's squad created dangerous attacking opportunities through the on-pitch partnership of Jeremejeff and Witan Sulaeman.

Despite being under constant pressure, Moussa Diarra almost broke past Persija goalkeeper Nadeo Argawinata with a powerful long range strike.

Persija broke the deadlock shortly before halftime. A rapid counter attack down the flank pierced through Borneo's defensive line.

Stjepan Loncar then played a delivery into the heart of Borneo's penalty area that the home side's backline failed to clear.

Jeremejeff met the loose ball with an accurate, powerful header into the corner of the net, putting Persija 1-0 ahead.

This goal marked Jeremejeff's first competitive goal on his official debut for Persija.

Borneo Attempt to Shift Match Momentum

At the start of the second half, Mauro Jeronimo made double substitutions, bringing on R. Varanda and Nul Zikrak to replace Da Silva Oliveira and M. Rafli Asrul.

These changes failed to alter the flow of the match significantly. Jeronimo proceeded to make further personnel switches to boost his side's attacking threat.

Muhammad Ridho entered the pitch for Reva Adi Utama, while Kadu was withdrawn and replaced by Caxambu.

This series of rolling substitutions was Jeronimo's response to the sustained pressure, as his side searched for an opening to equalise.

Nevertheless, Persija successfully defended their narrow lead until the full time whistle was blown.

This 1-0 win places Persija at 3rd position in the provisional league standings, while Borneo FC occupies 16th place.

Persebaya made a promising start to the match. Known as Bajol Ijo, the side took an early lead when Yann Mabella scored in the 13th minute after dribbling past Bhayangkara goalkeeper Awan Seto.

Bhayangkara attempted to mount a response, but Persebaya's lead remained intact going into the halftime break.

During the second half, both sides made multiple player changes to increase attacking intensity, as both teams chased a full three points in their first match of the new season.

Bhayangkara began to take control of possession and created a series of good chances. Poor finishing continued to let them down, before the equalising goal finally arrived in the 59th minute.

Substitute player Allano scored the leveller with a well-timed header, connecting cleanly with a crossed delivery from Sidibe.

The score stood at 1-1, with momentum swinging fully to the home side. Bhayangkara pushed continuously for a winning goal, but no further scores were registered before the end of regular time.

With this draw result, both Bhayangkara Presisi Lampung FC and Persebaya Surabaya finish the match with one league point apiece.
