The Central Board of the All Indonesia Badminton Association (PBSI) has implemented a restructuring within the mixed doubles sector. Three new pair combinations are being prepared to develop the optimal competitive formula for international tournaments, with one of the new line-ups matching Dejan Ferdinansyah with Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu.

This adjustment forms part of PBSI's wider efforts to finalise the most ideal squad composition for mixed doubles. Indonesian national mixed doubles head coach Nova Widianto confirmed his team is currently running structured trials to identify partnerships with strong on-court chemistry and cohesive playing synergy.

"At this stage we are searching for the best working structure for our mixed doubles division. For this reason, we will be testing multiple pair combinations including Dejan Ferdinansyah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu, Bagas Maulana/Apriyani Rahayu and M. Nawaf Khoiriyansyah/Indah Cahya Sari Jamil," stated Nova Widianto in an official press release issued in Jakarta.

Dejan Ferdinansyah / Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu

One of the confirmed roster changes is the formation of the Dejan Ferdinansyah and Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu partnership.

Dejan previously competed alongside Apriyani Rahayu. He will now begin this new competitive chapter with Felisha, who most recently served as Jafar Hidayatullah's doubles partner.

The Dejan/Felisha duo will not wait long to test their partnership at international level. The pair are scheduled to make their official competitive debut at the 2026 Denmark Open, running 13–18 October.

This tournament will act as the first benchmark for Dejan and Felisha to measure how well their combined playing style performs against the world's elite ranked mixed doubles pairs.

Bagas Maulana / Apriyani Rahayu

The next confirmed roster change sees Apriyani Rahayu assigned a new partner. The Tokyo Olympic gold medallist will form a new doubles team with Bagas Maulana.

Bagas had been partnered with Indah Cahya Sari Jamil since August 2026. Following this restructure, the new Bagas & Apriyani line-up is expected to introduce fresh competitive dynamics for Indonesia's mixed doubles programme.

The pair have already received their first competitive opportunity together. Bagas/Apriyani made their debut appearance at the 2026 Indonesia International Challenge, held 25–30 August.

Combining Apriyani's proven elite level experience with Bagas' distinct playing characteristics, this new partnership will be one of the most watched combinations as Indonesia develops its mixed doubles squad.

M. Nawaf Khoiriyansyah / Indah Cahya Sari Jamil

Indah Cahya Sari Jamil has also been assigned a new partner, and will team up with M. Nawaf Khoiriyansyah.

The Nawaf/Indah duo are scheduled to make their competitive debut at the 2026 Malaysia Super 100 tournament, running 13–18 October.
