MotoGP 2027 will kick off in Buriram, with the Valencia Grand Prix returning once again as the final closing round of the championship season.

MotoGP has once again scheduled the Valencia Grand Prix as the final round on the MotoGP World Championship calendar. The Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia, Spain is officially confirmed to host the 2027 season closing round on 26–28 November.

This decision places Valencia back in the critical role of hosting the conclusion of an entire MotoGP season. The circuit located in the Cheste district is well known for its distinct atmosphere, especially when the full racing calendar arrives at the end of the campaign.

"Very few locations capture the spirit of the MotoGP season finale the way Circuit Ricardo Tormo does. The venue, the city, and the fans create a genuinely special atmosphere every single year. It is the perfect place to wrap up another season of world class motor racing," stated MotoGP Deputy CEO Carlos Ezpeleta, quoted from official MotoGP communications.

With this confirmation, the 2027 Valencia Grand Prix will be the second consecutive season finale held at this track. The 2026 season will also conclude here, extending the long-running tradition of MotoGP season finales hosted in Spain.

For Valencia, hosting the final round means far more than just running the race itself. This position gives event organisers and spectators the chance to be present for the defining moment when an entire season of competition finally reaches its conclusion.

"Hosting the final round of the MotoGP World Championship is an honour for our event team and our fans, who have sustained the growth of this Grand Prix year after year," said President of the Valencian Government Juanfran Perez Llorca.

Valencia has long been a core part of MotoGP's season closing tradition. Since the introduction of four-stroke regulations in 2002, only the 2020 and 2024 seasons have not concluded at the Valencia circuit.

For the 2027 season, the Valencia Grand Prix will run 26–28 November. Under this schedule, all world championship title battles will remain unresolved until the very end of November before the full season is officially completed.

The opening round of the 2027 MotoGP season is scheduled for 5–7 March, a later start date than the 2026 campaign.

Buriram, Thailand has been confirmed as the opening round host for the third consecutive year.

Preparations for the new season will include a shortened pre-season testing schedule, set to be completed by mid-February.

Following pre-season testing, all riders and teams will attend the official MotoGP season launch event, which will be held in Brazil on 21 February.

With Buriram confirmed as the season opener and Valencia as the finale, two key anchor dates are already locked in for the 2027 calendar, even before the full round schedule has been published. MotoGP is scheduled to release the complete 2027 season calendar this coming Friday.

For Circuit Ricardo Tormo, this confirmation further solidifies its status as one of the most iconic venues associated with MotoGP season finales.

Supported by the circuit's signature atmosphere, the city of Valencia, and dedicated fan support, the final race weekend of 2027 will once again take place at a venue that has become deeply embedded in this world championship's tradition.
