Persija Jakarta has not yet concluded its activity in the transfer market. Ahead of the 2026 Super League, the Macan Kemayoran side are still targeting approximately two to three players to finalise their squad structure. All decisions regarding which players will be signed are now fully under the authority of head coach Shin Tae-yong.

Persija Jakarta President Mohammad Prapanca confirmed that the club will fully comply with the requirements requested by the South Korean coach.

This situation has kept all recruitment options open for Persija. New signings may consist of naturalised players, foreign players, or a combination of both.

"Like I said earlier, every possibility is on the table. We could sign all naturalised players, a mixed group, or all foreign players. I do not know yet, as he [Shin Tae-yong] has not submitted any names," stated Prapanca in Jakarta.

Prapanca explained that Shin Tae-yong will first complete a full evaluation of the team's requirements before submitting his list of desired players. Persija will not rush any transfer decisions during pre-season preparations for the upcoming campaign.

"Most likely the coach will first finalise the foreign player quota first. The remaining slots may go to naturalised players, I cannot confirm that for certain yet," he added.

Persija Currently In Negotiations With Multiple Players

Despite no official names being announced publicly, Persija remains active behind the scenes in the transfer window. Prapanca revealed the club is currently conducting negotiations with a number of potential player targets.

However, he declined to disclose the identities or specific profiles of the players being pursued by the club.

This lack of official confirmation has sparked widespread public speculation. One name heavily linked with Persija is Dewa United midfielder Ivar Jenner.

Persija has not issued any official confirmation regarding this rumour. Prapanca also did not confirm whether Ivar Jenner is included on the list of players Shin Tae-yong will later submit as transfer targets.

Persija will soon enter the next phase of pre-season preparations. The club is scheduled to hold an overseas training camp in Thailand starting 10 August. Alongside structured training programmes, Persija will also play a series of pre-season friendly matches during this period.

The 2026 Super League is scheduled to kick off on 26 August.
