Match-fixing issues do not disrupt the PBSI national training camp, with all athletes remaining fully focused on the 2026 World Championships.

The alleged match fixing case currently under investigation by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) has not disrupted the atmosphere at the PBSI national training camp. Indonesian athletes have chosen to remain focused on their preparation program for the 2026 BWF World Championships, which will be held in New Delhi, India on 17-23 August this year.

Indonesian men's doubles badminton athlete Raymond Indra confirmed that all activities at the PBSI National Training Center in Cipayung, Jakarta are running as per usual.

"To be honest, the atmosphere at the PBSI training camp is actually completely normal," Raymond stated at the Cipayung training facility in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The BWF is currently conducting an investigation into suspected integrity violations involving multiple badminton players across several matches. No official names of athletes have been listed in formal investigation reports as of this time.

Raymond stated he is not engaging with circulating speculation, as the case is already being properly handled by the BWF.

For Raymond and his doubles partner Joaquin, this controversy serves as an important reminder for all athletes to uphold professional integrity throughout their entire careers.

"This is just a lesson for all of us. At the end of the day, none of us became professional athletes to get involved in things like this, as far as I am concerned," Raymond said.

Amri Confirms Training Camp Atmosphere Remains Normal

An identical view was shared by Indonesian mixed doubles badminton athlete Amri Syahnawi.

"The atmosphere is really just completely normal. This is also a lesson for us. Personally, I never became an athlete to chase that kind of improper gain anyway," Amri told reporters at the PBSI National Training Center in Cipayung, East Jakarta on Wednesday.

Amri explained that all players are currently choosing to concentrate on their targets for the 2026 BWF World Championships, rather than being distracted by off-court issues.

"There is no unusual tension or disruption here at all. We are just fully focused on our preparation for the World Championships, that is our priority right now," Amri stated.

Alongside his partner Nita Violina Marwah, Amri is currently finalizing preparations ahead of the 30th edition of the BWF World Championships.

The pair, who currently hold 18th position in the world rankings, confirmed they have completed preparation arrangements for one of the most prestigious tournaments on the international badminton calendar.
