1. Between Reality and Virtual at Art:1 New Museum

For contemporary art lovers, the "Between Reality and Virtual" exhibition delivers a unique visiting experience.

This exhibition takes place at Art:1 New Museum, 3 South Rajawali Raya Street, Central Jakarta. Visitors may enter starting from 10.00 WIB.

True to its core concept, this exhibition blends real world experiences with virtual spaces through contemporary art pieces. It is well suited for visitors who wish to experience art through a modern creative approach.

2. Exploring Indonesian Heritage Through the Wastra Exhibition

Weekends can also be spent learning about Indonesia's rich traditional textile heritage at the Wastra Exhibition titled "Preserving Heritage for the Future".

Held at the National Textile Museum, this exhibition is open daily from 09.00 to 15.00 WIB. Visitors can admire diverse wastra collections while understanding how traditional fabrics form a fundamental part of Indonesia's cultural identity.

This is a paid entry event, so visitors are advised to purchase their tickets before arrival.

3. Viewing SBY's Artworks at Taman Ismail Marzuki

For painting and fine art enthusiasts: the 2026 SBY Art Community (SAC) Exhibition presents original works by Indonesia's 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Carrying the theme "Art for Peace and a Better Future: Collaboration", this exhibition runs from 19 to 30 August 2026 at the Small Theater, Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), Central Jakarta.

Entry is completely free for all visitors. The exhibition operates daily from 10.00 to 21.00 WIB.

Both art enthusiasts and general members of the public curious to see another side of this well-known public figure through visual works will find this event a worthwhile weekend option.

4. Book Hunting at TIM Book Fest

Alongside visiting exhibitions, the weekend can also be used to browse for new reading material.

The TIM Book Fest is currently ongoing at the 3rd Floor Co-Working Space, Ali Sadikin Building, Taman Ismail Marzuki, Central Jakarta.

A wide range of books are available at affordable prices. The event runs from 09.00 until 22.00 WIB, giving visitors plenty of time to browse and find books.

For regular readers or anyone looking to add to their personal collection, the TIM Book Fest provides a calm, relaxing alternative way to spend the weekend.

5. Asian Culinary Tour at KEPO Asian Culinary Vol.7

After a full day of exhibitions and book browsing, it is time to explore food options.

KEPO Asian Culinary Vol.7 is being hosted at the Avenue of the Stars, Lippo Mall Kemang, 36 Pangeran Antasari Street, Bangka, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta.

This event offers a wide selection of authentic dishes from multiple Asian countries including Japan, Singapore and Thailand.

No entry ticket is required, this event is open free to the public. Daily operating hours run from 10.00 until 22.00 WIB.
