Cristiano Ronaldo is in line to return for Al-Nassr when they face Al-Riyadh in the second round of the Roshn Pro League this Friday night. The Portugal national team captain has been included in Ange Postecoglou's squad after missing both the league opening match and the King's Cup fixture.

Ronaldo's return is set to be one of the main focal points of the match. The 41-year-old has not featured in Al-Nassr's first two competitive matches this season, but is now back in Postecoglou's match plans.

Al-Nassr enters this fixture with high confidence, having kicked off the season with two consecutive wins. They swept aside Al-Fateh 3-0 in their Roshn Pro League opener before defeating Al-Diriyah 4-1 in the King's Cup.

Now Al-Nassr will look to carry this momentum as they travel away to face Al-Riyadh, who are attempting to bounce back following a defeat in their first match of the campaign.

Ronaldo Adds Extra Options Up Front

Ronaldo's return gives Postecoglou far more selection flexibility when constructing his attacking line. Al-Nassr already boasts a quality forward roster including Joao Felix, Kingsley Coman, and Sadio Mane.

Ronaldo's availability further intensifies competition for starting places in the front line. The Australian head coach now has multiple tactical options available to match game requirements.

Ronaldo brings proven elite experience and clinical finishing ability. After watching the opening two competitive fixtures from the sidelines, the Portugal captain is now in contention to operate as the team's attacking focal point once again.

Postecoglou Names 21-Man Squad

According to Arriyadiyah, Postecoglou has called up 21 players for the match against Al-Riyadh. One player will still need to be removed from the list before kickoff to comply with official squad size regulations.

Mohamed Simakan and Samu Costa have been omitted from the squad for rest purposes. This decision forms part of the club's rotation policy, as Al-Nassr are facing an upcoming congested match schedule.

Between the goalposts, Bento Matheus and Abdulrahman Al-Otaibi are included in the selection. The defensive line is reinforced by Nawaf Boushal, Salem Al-Najdi, Awad Aman, Abdulelah Al-Amri, Inigo Martinez, and Nader Al-Sharari.

Midfield options consist of Abdullah Al-Khaibari, Sami Al-Najei, Ali Al-Hassan, Abdulmalik Al-Jaber, and Angelo Gabriel.

Meanwhile the forward line features Ronaldo, Joao Felix, Kingsley Coman, Sadio Mane, Abdullah Al-Hamdan, Ayman Yahya, Rakan Al-Ghamdi, and Saad Haqawi.

Al-Nassr Target Perfect Unbeaten Start

In terms of momentum, Al-Nassr holds a clear advantage over their opponents. Their two opening victories have demonstrated the team's ability to score freely and perform with clinical efficiency.

The 3-0 win against Al-Fateh marked a convincing start to their Roshn Pro League campaign. Shortly after, Al-Nassr netted four goals to knock Al-Diriyah out of the King's Cup.

With Ronaldo now available for selection, Postecoglou has an additional weapon at his disposal to maintain this winning run.

This match against Al-Riyadh will also provide the first public glimpse of how Postecoglou will integrate Ronaldo alongside the club's new attacking signings.

Whatever forward pairing or trio the Australian coach fields will become one of the main talking points throughout the fixture.

For Ronaldo personally, this match marks his return to competitive game action after sitting out the opening two matches of the season.

For Al-Nassr, the target is straightforward: hold on to their perfect start and continue building positive momentum under Postecoglou's leadership.
