Joan Mir will be absent from the Japanese and Indonesian MotoGP rounds, and Honda HRC Castrol is preparing a replacement rider.

Joan Mir has been forced to sit out two consecutive MotoGP rounds. The Honda HRC Castrol rider has been officially ruled out of both the Japanese Grand Prix and Indonesian Grand Prix, as he requires time to undergo a full recovery process for ongoing health issues.

This decision was made after Mir completed a full series of medical examinations conducted by the MotoGP Medical Team at Dexeus University Hospital, Barcelona.

The tests were carried out to identify the root cause of health symptoms that the Spanish rider has been experiencing over the past several months.

Mir's condition has progressively worsened, to the point where it began impacting his ability to compete. Based on examination results, medical staff have recommended complete rest and dedicated treatment over the coming weeks.

"Due to these symptoms, medical guidance mandates strict rest and multiple courses of treatment over the next 15 days. As a result, I have advised him not to participate in the Japanese and Indonesian Grands Prix. His condition will remain under close monitoring by my team," stated MotoGP Medical Director Angel Charte, as quoted from the official MotoGP website.

This is not the first time health problems have disrupted Mir's season and forced him to miss races. He previously sat out the San Marino Grand Prix, and was also unable to compete at the Austrian Grand Prix round due to physical health concerns.

The Honda rider was previously diagnosed with extreme exhaustion. His overall fitness levels have declined, resulting in severely reduced energy reserves required to perform as a professional racer.

This situation requires Mir to complete a proper recovery period before returning to the track. With the next two championship rounds scheduled for Japan and Indonesia, he will now miss the opportunity to compete at these two key events on the MotoGP calendar.

The Japanese Grand Prix will be the first round Mir is forced to miss. Following that, the 28-year-old rider will also not appear on the starting grid when MotoGP travels to Indonesia.

For Honda HRC Castrol, Mir's absence means the team must urgently arrange a solution for these two rounds. The Japanese manufacturer will announce a replacement rider for Mir in the near future.

Meanwhile, Mir's sole focus is on his recovery. After completing the rest and treatment programme prescribed by the medical team, his condition will continue to be monitored closely before any final decision is made regarding his return to the track.

For the time being, Mir has accepted he will miss the two upcoming MotoGP rounds. Both the Japanese Grand Prix and Indonesian Grand Prix will proceed without one of Honda HRC Castrol's lead riders.
