News surrounding the transfer of Ferran Torres is finally starting to clear up. Barcelona is reported to have reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to release the Spanish national team striker during the 2026 summer transfer window.

This transfer is set to become one of the major player moves ahead of the 2026/27 season. According to a Friday report from Diario Sport, both clubs finally found common ground after running negotiations over several weeks.

PSG is confirmed to be willing to pay a transfer fee of 48.5 million euros, or approximately 900 billion Indonesian Rupiah. This information was further verified by reports from Fabrizio Romano, who confirmed Ferran Torres will sign a long-term contract running until 2031.

The 26-year-old player is scheduled to fly to Paris imminently to complete medical examinations before finalising all transfer formalities.

Once all administrative processes are concluded, Torres will immediately join the PSG squad under head coach Luis Enrique.

This move also opens an entirely new chapter in Torres' professional career, closing out his spell with Barcelona.

The Valencia-born forward was previously an established part of the Blaugrana squad, having made multiple competitive appearances for the Catalan club.

Barcelona And PSG Finalise Transfer Agreement

Barcelona had initially rejected PSG's first official offer. However, negotiations between both clubs continued until a final deal was successfully reached.

For Barcelona, the decision to release Ferran Torres is understood to be part of the club's squad restructuring efforts, as well as a measure to stabilise the club's financial position ahead of the upcoming season.

Barcelona's management even granted Torres special exemption to miss team training sessions on both Wednesday and Thursday.

This arrangement was made to allow his transfer process to PSG to proceed without disruption.

Ferran Torres was originally scheduled to report back for Barcelona training following his rest period after representing Spain at the 2026 World Cup, with a mandatory return deadline to the club training facility set for 12 August.

Ferran Torres Joins The Reigning Champions League Title Holders

In Paris, Ferran Torres will join a PSG side entering the 2026/27 campaign as the defending UEFA Champions League champions.

The arrival of the Spanish international will also reunite him with Luis Enrique. The Spanish head coach is currently strengthening PSG's squad to defend the club's dominance across European football.

Torres arrives on the back of a strong World Cup campaign with Spain, which included scoring a goal during the tournament final match.

Should all formalities proceed without issues, Ferran Torres will be officially unveiled as PSG's latest signing and begin his new career chapter at the Parc des Princes.
