Persija Jakarta has secured additional firepower in their forward line. Swedish striker Alexander Jeremejeff has officially joined the Macan Kemayoran squad to boost the club's attacking potency ahead of the 2026/2027 competitive season.
The arrival of the 32-year-old player also directly addresses Persija's requirement for a sharp, clinical central striker.
"He is a very capable striker. I believe with Alex joining the squad, the concerns around our striker position that our supporters have been raising will be resolved," stated Persija Jakarta Head Coach Shin Tae-yong, speaking via the club's official website in Jakarta on Friday.

Jeremejeff has signed a two-season contract with Persija. With extensive experience competing across multiple European leagues, Jeremejeff is regarded as a well-rounded profile to strengthen Macan Kemayoran's attacking unit.
Extensive Career Journey: From Sweden To Greece
Jeremejeff began his professional career with Orgryte in 2012, following promotion from the club's youth academy. One year later he joined Qviding FIF, before moving to Hacken in 2014.
After two seasons with Hacken, Jeremejeff represented Malmo between 2016 and 2018. He briefly returned to Hacken in 2019 prior to starting his playing career outside of Sweden.
In 2019, Jeremejeff moved to Germany to join Dynamo Dresden. He was then loaned out to Dutch side FC Twente during 2020.
Following the conclusion of his loan spell, Jeremejeff returned to Hacken for his second stint with the club, which lasted until 2023.
His career then brought him to Greece. Jeremejeff joined Panathinaikos in 2023, and also completed a loan period at Levadiakos. Afterwards he signed for PAOK in 2026, before accepting the transfer offer from Persija.
Through this career path, Jeremejeff has experienced domestic football environments in Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands and Greece. He has also featured in continental European competitions, including Europa League qualification rounds.
Former Swedish League Top Goalscorer
Proven finishing ability is one of the core reasons Persija moved to recruit Jeremejeff. During the 2021/2022 season, he finished as the Swedish League top scorer after netting 22 goals.
He has collected multiple honours throughout his career. Jeremejeff was part of Swedish league title winning squads in 2016, 2017 and 2022.
Additionally, he lifted the Swedish Cup trophy in 2016 and 2019, and won the Greek League title in 2024.
At international level, Jeremejeff received a call up and represented the Sweden national men's football team in 2019.
Jeremejeff Excited To Join Persija
Jeremejeff stated he is enthusiastic to start this new career chapter in Indonesia, noting he was already familiar with Persija before receiving the offer to join the club.
"I'm feeling good, and I am really excited right now. I already knew about Persija beforehand," he commented.
The Swedish forward described Persija as one of the largest and most established football clubs in Indonesia.
He acknowledged that the adaptation process will be a critical first step before he can fulfil his main role as Persija's lead attacking spearhead.
His first stated priorities are understanding Shin Tae-yong's tactical requirements, then building on-field chemistry with his new teammates.
